The Greater Cleveland Food Bank and the Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are more than a beloved basketball team in the Greater Cleveland area. They are also champions off the court through their dedication to the success of the communities they call home. The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Cavaliers Community Foundation support organizations that address the development and well-being of youth in Northeast Ohio. One of their five key areas of focus is to enrich the lives of youth by addressing food insecurity.

The Cavs organization, along with many of its partners, has provided countless hours of service by volunteering at the Food Bank. They have also made significant financial contributions to help fight food insecurity, including:

• Provided a $30,000 challenge grant to incentivize support during the 2025 Harvest for Hunger
• Increased the Food Bank’s fleet of trucks by making a critical investment in the Food for All Campaign, providing a new Cavaliers Delivery Truck, which enhances the amount of nutritious food that can be distributed
• Surpassed a goal to provide 1 million meals by donating 1.6 million meals, in partnership with Giant Eagle and with support from the Food Bank
• Partnered with KeyBank to host five summer community markets throughout Northeast Ohio, providing nutritious fresh produce and pantry staples to support local families

The Cavaliers’ commitment to addressing food insecurity has allowed the Food Bank to maximize its impact and provide hundreds of thousands of nutritious meals to neighbors in Northeast Ohio.

The Cavaliers organization is led by Nic Barlage, CEO of Rock Entertainment Group and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Nic served as co-chair of the 2025 Harvest for Hunger campaign and is honored to serve as co-chair again this year. Nic and the Cavs are proud to be co-presenting sponsors of Market at the Food Bank, the signature fundraising event during the Harvest for Hunger campaign. We are incredibly grateful for Nic’s leadership and the collective support of the entire Cleveland Cavaliers organization.
