Meet Nadine, a devoted caretaker who embodies the resilience of our community’s seniors. With rising food costs straining her limited income, Nadine visits the Painesville location of the Lake County Council on Aging. What does she get there? “Not only the food, but you get to meet wonderful people, and you get to socialize and just have a great time. I don’t have to cook, I don’t have to clean the dishes, and it’s just really helpful to me,” she shares.

Nadine’s story is not unique. Many seniors struggle to make ends meet and are forced to buy food with their savings. “We had to take money out of our savings just to keep up with the cost of food,” says Nadine.

Programs like nutrition centers and hot meal programs ensure our community’s seniors get to live in dignity and comfort. These programs are only possible because of supporters like you.
