Step Up to the Plate

Every day, thousands of families in our region are constantly burdened with tough choices like – Medicine or food? Lights or dinner? Rent or a meal? That’s why we have to Step Up to the Plate, to fight hunger and help someone take an impossible choice off their plate.

Take a swing against hunger with the Food Bank and the Cleveland Indians! We’re teaming up to fight hunger in a friendly competition with the Kansas City Royals and Harvesters Community Food Network, the food bank that serves Kansas City. We know Indians fans > Royals fans. You can help us prove it by donating now through August 28!

The competition officially takes off on August 18 as the Indians take on the Royals in Kansas City. Then, from August 25-27, we bring the challenge back to Cleveland! You can #StepUpToThePlate by donating at www.StepUpToThePlate.Today or attending a game during the August 25 – 27 series and participating at the ballpark by:

• Making a monetary donation to the Food Bank at the Food Bank’s table behind home plate at the ballpark. Each dollar donated provides 4 nutritious meals!
• Bringing a non-perishable food item to donate at the gate. Click here for information on our Super Six most needed items.
• Rounding up your bill at the Cleveland Indians Team Shop.
