Taste of the Browns is October 2! More
The Food Bank is thankful for all of our partners. Learn more about some of our special distribution partners here.
Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM) is the Food Bank's Redistribution Organization (RDO). They receive food from the Food Bank and then transform that food into delicious nutrition-dense meals to be distributed to local shelters throughout Cuyahoga County. They have a revered culinary training program, including an Associate of Applied Science in Culinary Arts, that operates from their Central Kitchen on Cleveland's near east side.
Country Neighbor Program, Inc, is our Partner Distribution Organization (PDO). Located in Orwell, Ohio, Country Neighbor helps much-needed food reach the people of Ashtabula County. Food from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank is transported to and housed in their facility and is then distributed to twenty-seven partner programs in Ashtabula County. Country Neighbor distributes an average of 1,000,000 pounds of food to Ashtabula County residents on an annual basis.
In 2018, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank began its partnership with the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) to provide meals to a portion of their Cuyahoga County territory. Since then, the partnership has expanded to Lake County and we are able to provide 28 senior centers across Cuyahoga and Lake Counties over 3,000 meals/day to seniors in need.
The meals are made fresh in our Community Kitchen and delivered daily by our transportation team. We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to working together to meet the unique needs of low-income seniors residing in their own homes.
