Backpack for Kids

Throughout the year, theGreater Cleveland Food Bankpartners with schools, libraries, and nonprofit after-school programs to provide children with food to take home over the weekend.

Each week, our partner sites receive bags of food to pass out to the children participating in the program. The bags of food are sent home with each child at the end of the week to sustain them through the weekend. The program is operated with respect for the children’s confidentiality.

How can I help?

Donate to the backpack program to help provide enough food for a child for the weekend. Through your generous donations to the BackPack for Kids Program you will be partnering with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to help us reach children in a safe accessible environment who are at-risk for hunger.
