What is a Community Needs Assessment?

Over the course of 2023, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank conducted its first Community Needs Assessment (CNA)— a systematic process of identifying the needs and service gaps within the Food Bank’s six-county service area. The CNA was completed in three sections, including a Needs Assessment, Access Assessment, and a series of surveys to more than 4,000 neighbors and over 200 Food Bank partners. Below is a summary of overall findings.
