Cause Marketing

Creating a cause marketing campaign is a simple and effective way to support the Food Bank. You can collect funds from your customers and staff, provide critical support for our hunger relief efforts, and promote your business. The Food Bank works closely with partners to provide campaign collateral and marketing support for cause marketing campaigns.


There are many ways to engage your customers and the community in the fight to end hunger. Here are some examples of successful partnerships:

  • Dunkin’ Donuts locations sold icons in-store for $1 each and raised more than $106,000 in a month.
  • Breadsmith of Lakewood donates nearly $8,000 a year through change collections at their register.
  • Dewey’s Pizza made a $5,000 donation after contributing $5 per large pizza sold for a week at 3 locations.
  • H. Jack's Plumbing & Heating Co. donated a portion of proceeds and inspired other local companies to join their campaign, raising over $40,000 to fight hunger.

Coinstar: Coins That Count | Ongoing

Participants can donate to their favorite non-profit at a Coinstar machine. By choosing the "donate" option from the onscreen menu, selecting a non-profit, depositing their coins in the machine. To find the non-profit partners available in your area, go to your local Coinstar machine, select the donation option and view a list of participating non-profit partners.  

Enterprise Rent-A-Car | Ongoing

In November 2020, Enterprise announced they are renewing the Fill Your Tank Program through 2025 with an additional investment of $17.5M to support Feeding America's senior and child hunger programs. 

The Cheesecake Factory | July 30, 2021 - July 29, 2022

The Cheesecake Factory is adding a new Coconut Cream Pie Cheesecake to the menu for National Cheesecake Day 2021.   In addition to releasing the new flavor, The Cheesecake Factory will be celebrating National Cheesecake Day by donating $1 to Feeding America for every slice of cheesecake sold on July 30. And for every slice of the new Coconut Cream Pie Cheesecake sold from July 30, 2021, through July 29, 2022, they will donate $0.25 to Feeding America. The program will generate a minimum donation of $300,000 which will be split 50/50 between the national office and the food bank where the qualifying purchase was made.

$1.00 from every sale will be donated to the Food Bank.

King Nut | October 1, 2021 - December 31, 2021

$1.00 donation to GCFB for every tin of ultimate mixed nuts sold nationwide. 

LVL UP CLE | Ongoing

20% of all sales will benefit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank when you purchase using this link.

The Twister Girl Balloon Co. | Ongoing

10% of every handcrafted balloon or balloon service sold will be donated to the Food Bank.

Lime Scooters | Ongoing

Riders can choose to round up their ride to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Lime’s Hero in Cleveland. Riders are shown this option while in the app. Check out Lime scooters and bikes throughout Cleveland!

Round up at the register to benefit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank!

JACK Entertainment | Ongoing
Customers can choose the Food Bank as one of three charitable causes when cashing out their vouchers.

Cleveland Cavaliers & Nocking Point Wines | Ongoing
Cavs Cab - The Official Wine of The Cleveland Cavaliers! Nocking Point Wines and the Cleveland Cavaliers commemorate their partnership with this one-of-a-kind, exclusive, Cleveland original. The artwork was created by local Cleveland artist, Aaron Sechrist, in collaboration with the Cavs organization and creative team. Cavs legend Austin Carr personally curated this very special wine blend sourced from the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from Washington State, and each bottle sold will raise money for The Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Customers can donate their change at the register to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Stop in, grab a delicious baked good, and donate! 

ILTHY | Ongoing
For every purchase of any Cleveland-inspired item from ILTHY, four meals will be donated to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Lime Scooters Hero Round Up Campaign | Ongoing

Crocs Cares | January 1 – December 31
Every time a consumer completes a purchase in one of Crocs U.S. retail stores or on Crocs.com, they can add a donation in an amount of their choosing to go directly to Feeding America.

TikTok's Garden of Good | June 2021 - May 25, 2022
TikTok’s first-ever game feature within its platform, The Garden of Good is available to all US-based app users who are 18 years or older. TikTokers can build a garden, nurture into maturity and harvest those crops in exchange for a real-life monetary donation to Feeding America. For every donated harvest, TikTok will donate a minimum of $0.50 or maximum of $2 to Feeding America and local Feeding America Network Food Banks. To participate, download or open TikTok and head to your profile page. Click on the vegetable icon in the upper left corner to start your garden! Accessible on mobile devices only.

Superior Plus Propane | August 1, 2021 - January 31, 2022
Superior Plus Propane and associated brands will offer a $200 credit to consumers and a $25 donation to Feeding America’s local food banks for each new propane account signed up through Superior Plus Propane.
