Greater Cleveland Food Bank

Overview

We thank our member agencies for their hard work and compassion in providing food to hungry neighbors, children and families in your communities.

In the last year, the Greater Cleveland Food Bank’s member programs provided nearly 39 million meals to those in need! We are proud to partner with our member programs in the fight against hunger in Ashland, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Richland counties.

The Food Bank provides food and non-food items to nearly 750 member agencies and programs. These programs include pantries, hot meal programs, shelters and other non-profit organizations including children’s after school programs, senior programs and rehabilitation programs. The Food Bank also offers critical support to member agencies in the form of grants, equipment, educational workshops on a variety of topics including nutrition, grant writing and safe food handling and advocacy outreach.

Working with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to stock their shelves allows community hunger relief programs to stretch their dollars, providing more food for more people in need. The Food Bank distributes USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and OFP (Ohio Food Program) products at no charge to our member agencies. In addition, fresh produce, dairy and bread products are distributed at no charge. The Food Bank also purchases food and receives donated product which member agencies can order off of our shopping list.

We sincerely thank our current member programs for their phenomenal effort in serving the ever-increasing number of people in need of food in our communities.

The shopping menu and other resources are now on the new Agency Portal here.
