Kiana is learning, thanks to you.
Kiana has been a student at Rainey Institute on Cleveland's east side for over a year. At Rainey, a partner of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, Kiana participates in after-school arts activities and is able to get the nutritious meals she needs as a growing ten-year-old. "I play the cello!" she she exclaims, a huge smile breaking out over her face.
Kiana and her three siblings live in Cleveland with her great aunt, who adopted them. She visits with her mother, but lost her father at a very young age. She likes living with her aunt, but with four children in one household it can be difficult to make ends meet. Kiana receives hot meals at Rainey and is also able to take a backpack of food home over the weekends as part of the BackPacks for Kids program.
"My favorite food is carrots!" Kiana says excitedly after finishing her Kid's Café meal. Filled with nutritious food, Kiana can focus on what's important to a fourth grader, her school work and after-school activities.
Thank you for helping feed children like Kiana. Your support gives them a brighter future!
