Families feel comforted with your support
Since the recession, Corinne has found it difficult to find work. Additionally, due to an injury, Corinne’s ability to work is compromised and her future is uncertain. With four children at home, it can be tough to make ends meet.
“Sometimes I don’t eat and sometimes I do,” she said. To Corinne, the most important thing is that her children eat first. “I make sure they’re taken care of first. Everything is for them.”
Corinne and her family are grateful for the Food Bank and St. Michael’s Food Pantry, one of our partner agencies, to receive groceries. The nutritious food she takes home to her kids is life-saving for them, and for her.
“They gave me the opportunity to come here to help my family. They have shown me nothing but giving, help, and compassion. That’s the most comforting thing in the world,” she says.
Thank you for providing comfort for families like Corinne’s!
